Join us on January 20th at the AFS Cinema, Austin, TX

Just a few days ago, the AFCA announced the winners of their 2023 Film Awards. Among their number was a special award, unique to our organization, for Best Austin Film. This year’s prize went to the documentary MILLI VANILLI, and we’ve lined up a way to properly celebrate with a one-off screening of the film right here in Austin.

This screening, graciously hosted by the AFS Cinema, marks a rare opportunity to not only see the movie on the big screen, but also experience a Q&A afterwards with director Luke Korem and other crew members from the production. We look forward to celebrating this film, and another wonderful year of cinema with you.

From AFS: Winner of the Austin Film Critics Association Award for Best Austin Film 2023. Director Luke Korem and other members of the film’s crew will join us for a live Q&A.

From their meteoric rise to public downfall, this captivating documentary chronicles the untold circumstances surrounding the infamous pop duo Milli Vanilli and their 1990s-era lip-syncing scandal.

MILLI VANILLI, directed by Austin filmmaker Luke Korem, participated in AFS’s Works-In-Progress, a program supporting Texas filmmakers with features in post-production.

This screening is free and open to the public.
